Maddie and her hippy glasses....

This girls is cracking us up with these.  Peyton had these back in January for a costume for Catholic Schools Week.  Maddie has since adopted them and wears then around the house constantly.  It cracks us up!

Gus takes his first joy ride......

Gus finally got to have his first joy ride in the car since his accident.  He was begging to go, so I let him go with me to pick the kids up from school.  Look at the stink eye he was giving me before I finally rolled his window down a LITTLE bit to let him stick his nose out.

Mom is the loser.....

Headstand contests.......I lost AND I needed a pillow for me head.  The floor is HARD!!!!

The BRUTAL stomach virus......

OH Goodness!!!  This was the worst stomach bug, ever!!!  We got home from Indiana, and about 1:30 in the morning it hit me.  I threw up SO much.  All night and all the next day until about 2:00.  Turns out, one other girl from Maddie's team got it and one other dad (both from different families).  So it was definitely something we picked up there.  About two days after mine was over, Maddie got it.....and got it BAD as well.  About two days after hers, Peyton got it.....BAD also!!!!  And, not to be outdone, two days later, Jack got it!!!!  His was probably the most mild.  Jack started puking the night before I was suppose to leave with Maddie for Minneapolis....luckily Grandma Jeanne was willing to come stay with the sicky.

Mike was the only lucky one to not get it....and he was indeed LUCKY!!  It was the worst stomach bug I have ever had!!!  My stomach did not feel 100% for 10 days, literally!  It was bad!

French Lick, Indiana Gym Meet

French Lick, Indiana.....I had never heard of it.  It was actually a super cute little town in the middle of NOWHERE!!!  Also the home to Larry Bird.  Who knew??

We got up there Friday night, we found some nasty dinner in the hotel (cold pizza.....everywhere was booked and we couldn't find food anywhere!), and then we went back to our rooms and went to bed.  The next day we didn't compete until later in the afternoon.  We went down and had coffee and breakfast and then Maddie hung out with her friends for a bit and I snuck i a workout.  We then went and had lunch and then it was time to get ready.

Maddie did not have her best meet.  She did end up medalling, but I don't recall what she medalled in, as they didn't pass out the medals at the meet, due to trying to keep crowds small and distant.  So they coaches handed out the medals at practice the next week.  I know she came out with some, but I don't remember what they were.

I do remember, she got stuck on her back hip circle on bars, which is a mistake she NEVER makes......and bars is her best event.....so that was a bummer.  This was the only meet I have spent tears at, she was very upset with herself.  But she rebounded, we went to dinner with teammates, headed back to the pool to swim with friends, and finally went to bed.  The next morning, the girls wanted to squeeze in one more swim, so we did.....and then headed back to STL.

Helping with the hair sparkles......
