Maddie hosts a playdate

Maddie had her friend from school over for a playdate.  She was SOOOOO excited to see and play with her!  They played inside and out.  The highlight, for me, was watching them in her car.  Maddie had so much JUNK her in car that we had to clean it out to make a spot for her friend.  I told her she gets her "car cleanliness" from her father.  Mike's truck looks VERY similar to Maddie's car, and a lot of the time we have to clean his truck out too, to make room for the rest of us.

Swimming with the Brueggenjohanns

Our pool is closed on Mondays so we picked a Monday to go play with the Brueggenjohanns at their pool.  They go to the Lodge, which is where we use to go, so it was fun for the big kids to get to do the lazy river and water slides that they use to get to do when we belonged there.  The trade off, the lodge doesn't have "deep" water or diving boards.....so they were happy to visit the lodge, but also happy to get back to their pool too.  They played hard!......they played at the outside pool AND the inside pool.

 

A typical morning

A typical morning consists of:
Mike leaving around 5:30 for work.  Maddie entering my bed around 6:30 and just laying with me or playing on my phone until 7:30ish when Peyton and Jack come in and join us.  Then they all snuggle with Annie, as it's her most calm part of the day.

Kirkwood Thunder

Jack's little baseball team had such a fun summer!  These little 8 year olds truly know how to play baseball.  They always know how many outs there are, they not only know where the lead runner is, they often get the lead runner out, always in-tune to the score, and every single one of them can hit the ball.  I never thought I'd enjoy 8 year-old baseball as much as I did.  They were super fun to watch!!!  We will watch them take action again for fall ball...big kid baseball.  No more pitching machine.

Speaking of knowing what they are doing, this is Jack tagging up and taking off on third base when the outfielder caught a fly ball.  

The Girls Take on Boat House

Mike and Jack went camping for boyscouts so the girls headed to the Boat House for dinner and paddle boating.
We had a great time.  Staci and Victoria joined us and Peyton brought her friend, Maddie.  It was HOT!!  By the time we were finishing paddling around the lake, I was drenched!!  We finished the night with snow cones and ice cream.
I wish I had some photos from the campout to post of the boys.....but Mike didn't pull thru.  They made memories, but not pictures for proof.

Peyton and Jack's First Tennis Match

Peyton and Jack started playing of Westborough's Tennis Team this year.  In order to play on the tennis team they have to be able to rally from the baseline and be able to serve 8 out of 10.  Their first match was against Greenbriar at Greenbriar.  They did REALLY good, I think they both won all their matches.  They loved it and have been playing matches every Friday since then.  It's been fun to watch them at this sport.....a sport I knew nothing about a year ago, but I have been finding it quite fun to play also in the last year.

Hey Guys


Have not posted in a looooooonnnnngggggg time.  So you guys may have heard I dove off the high dive.  So my friend Maddie wanted to do a dive off the high dive but was scared.  So I said if you go off I will go off so she did.  Then I was like oh my gosh! I didn't think she would've done it.  So I had to keep my word.  When I hit the water I was so glad it was over.  Now I could dive off the high dive.




Now Jack is a different story....

So we got a new swim coach, Coach Shawn.  So we had a new rule no goggles off the diving board.  Jack can't do it without his goggles.  So he didn't go off for about a couple of weeks until Dad made him do it.  Now he isn't scared anymore which is very good. Now he's a jumping away off it.




Maddie LOVES the diving board she is a pro at it.  I taught her how to do a cannonball and a cannon opener.  The rest she taught herself.
