Cancun
Easter morning, we were up at the crack of dawn headed to the airport! We were off to Cancun for Spring Break with the kids and Mark and Jeanne. I have an entire book dedicated to the trip, so I won't go into details, but we had a lovely time!! Lots of fun, food (that actually wasn't that great), drinks, sun, and memories were made!
First Sluggers Tournament
First tournament for the Sluggers was a victorious one. They won the championship game against the Chaos....a group of girls with much talent, especially at the plate and mound!
Parenting Reminders
Sometimes you need these silent, unexpected reminders that maybe you are doing things right and they save their ugly side for you only......found this 'journaling' in Peyton's room one night when I went in to kiss her goodnight. I think I'll save it and have her read it during our troubling times, and remind her of the things she already knows! :)
Mother-Son Event
This year the Mother-Son committee decided it was time for someone else to take it over, but nobody wanted to step up to the plate, so it just didn't happen. I promised Jack we'd get together with some of his buddies and their moms and do our own Mother-Son event. The boys decided on bowling and dinner. Fun was had by all! I think they might prefer that over a dance anyway.....
Kidney Walk
A special friend of mine has a special little guy with kidney disease. She is the best mommy every to this little guy and they've been thru so much and will continue to go thru it all for the rest of his life. She invited us to attend the Kidney Walk, and it was a Saturday that we actually had free, so off we went. I think Blake had a good day, and I think my kids did too!
Maddie starts T-Ball
Maddie was big enough for T-Ball this year and she was SO excited......the best part, most of her soccer teammates were on her T-Ball team too, she was in HEAVEN! She loves her little social life, I'm not sure about the "sport", but she certainly loves to see all her friends!!!! Time will tell, if she's in it for girlfriend time or for the sport! :)
OH GUS!
This dog is so funny! He certainly isn't the brightest and has absolutely NO body awareness. He just flops his big body anywhere he wants, most of the time right on top of you! When he's in the car, its the same way. He gets his head out the window anyway he can and then flops on anyone he needs to to stay in that position......he's a funny guy!
