Moving on up......

Well, we've always been big fans of Monopoly Jr., as the game goes quick....much quicker than regular monopoly.  Well.....during quarantine, we had nothing but time on our hands....so out came REAL MONOPOLY!!!  Many hours, many days, many games were played......

Westborough Produce Boxes

During quarantine Westborough started offering produce boxes.  It was an abundance of fresh, super good produce.  The food was sooooo good and when grocery delivery was getting hard to get, it was perfect.  We would roll up, call them, and they'd bring it to our trunk, and off we'd go.  It was also super fun, cause you couldn't customize your box, so it made us try knew foods, foods that we normally wouldn't buy.  The kids found out that they liked kiwis, and I even made salsa for the first time, as we had a TON of tomatoes and none of us like tomatoes, but we LOVE salsa!

A few weeks into distant learning, the teachers finally caved and decided to have mandatory Zoom classroom time.  Jack's sixth grade class had a few calls a week, and they separated by homeroom and by gender.  I messed up one of the times and had Jack accidentally sign in to the girls session instead of the boys, and boy was he MAD!!!  Oops!!!  We quickly got out there and just missed that meeting.....ha!

An Easter to Remember!!!

WOW!!!  Easter was a lot different around here this year!!!  Maddie was able to dye Easter eggs for the first time EVER!!!.....(third kid problems).  Usually we are playing baseball all weekend, so there's usually not time for silly egg-dying stuff.  HA!!

Sunday morning, Maddie made us some monkey bread for breakfast, and I made eggs and biscuits.  We sat at the dining room with fancy dishes and fancy glasses for our OJ (and mimosas for mom and dad).

The rain finally cleared off about mid-day, so the Easter bunny delivered eggs to our front and back yard.  Grandma Jeanne and Mark came to spectate the egg hunt from their car.  Jack and Maddie ran around for about 20-30 minutes looking for eggs and then Grandma and Mark went home and then we came inside.

Around 3:30, Mike and I got in the car and ran to Westborough for carry-out dinner.  When we got there, they ran the food out to our car and put it in the trunk.  They even had the Easter Bunny there to wave to everyone.  I wish I would've know, I would've brought Maddie.

We came home and ate our ham, turkey, deviled eggs, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, bread, chocolate cake, and apple pie!!!!  Holy smokes.......we might have had to be rolled to bed that night!!!  We might have be skimped on extended family, but we did not skimp on food!!!  Jack said, "I love ALL of this food!!"

It was a strange Easter with no extended family, and never getting out of our PJ's, but it wasn't all terrible!!!

Jack and Dad's honey-do list....

Mike (and Jack) keep chipping away at that honey-do list.  Over the weekend, they got our new doorbell installed, and some new exterior lights!!  YAY!!!
