Happy One Month Birthday, Maddie!

Maddie turned one month old yesterday.  Time flies when you are having fun.  So far in her short little life I have found her to be such a blessing and such a good baby.  She is perfect!  She doesn't really cry unless she is hungry, she is content when we are on the go, she's a good sleeper at night, she doesn't mind tummy time......she's just perfect!!!

I cannot WAIT for her to start smiling at me.  She smiles now, but not on purpose.  She has a little dimple on her left cheek that she will get to show off more once she starts smiling more.

A few fun facts about Maddie:

  • She usually goes to bed at 8:30-9:00 and sleeps until 3.  She feeds at 3 and wakes back up about 6.  Feeds again and then sleeps until 9.
  • Sometimes she loves her binky, sometimes she wants that thing out of her mouth!
  • She only likes her bottom half swaddled, no arms for her.
  • She eats 7 times a day.  6 times from mommy, and 1 bottle of formula before bed
We go to the doctor on Tues, so I can't wait to see how big she is.  I'm guessing she is a big girl....she sure seems like it to me.  She's got these big ole, kissable cheeks.  AND a mighty fine double chin!  She sure makes big cheeks and a double chin look good!!!

Here are some pictures on her one month birthday!

BOOOOOORING!!!

Lack of Time = Mostly Pictures

We have been super busy today.  We've been to STARBUCKS (a must for a new Mommy......and we had to go TWICE because they messed it up the first time), post office, Target, dry cleaner, pharmacy, Waterway, and home.  At home I've started and switched laundry, payed bills, fed baby, fed big kids, called for service appointment for car, order some pictures, made beds.....and started to prep dinner.  I'd say we are rocking the three kid thing just fine.....SO FAR!!!  Even Daddy Day Care seems to be keeping up.  Mommy left for the first time last night.  I had to attend a meeting at Peyton's school.  When I got home at 8:30, all three were sound asleep in bed.  I'd say they all did just fine.  The bathroom was a little flooded from the big kids having a party during bath time....BUT three kids or NOT, the bathroom always gets flooded when Daddy is in charge!!  Party on.....

So here is an update that consists mostly of pictures as I need to go get more checked of the "to-do" list.  Enjoy.....

Finally remember my camera

As I stated a couple posts ago, I do still love my big kids and I do still do things with them all the time, I just forget to take pictures of them.  The camera seems to focus on the baby here lately.  So this week I tried to remember to take pictures of the big kids as well!!!

Our social line up/agenda this past week:

  • Monday: Peyton hair cut, play at the mall
  • Tuesday: Swim lessons
  • Wednesday: Play date with the Hillen girls and some of their friends at the Heights pool
  • Thursday: Stay home and do laundry day (and Mommy recover from mastitis day)
  • Friday: Attempted the zoo, but it was so busy that the parking lots were full, so took lunch to the park instead....with Leigh-Anne and Andrew

Maddie's kind of fun at the pool.....
Laying on a towel and stretching out

Peyton being a mother hen to Andrew
Always wanting to "help" the babies

I lost Jack for a minute and then found him under the play structure...happy as a clam

Don't have to tell this girl to strike a pose, she's got that down!

Happy Jack

Enjoying the fresh air and temps in the 80s!!!!!

Can't even leave her alone while at the park

Miss Friedman's Summer School

Mike was afraid Jack was slipping thru the cracks after we brought Maddie home.  Mike sat down to do his words with him and he had forgotten some of them.  Mike got stressed that the middle child was already being let down ;)

That being said, the new rule (established by Daddy), was no Wii until Jack went thru his words each day.  Yesterday I went to put Maddie down for her nap, I came out of her room and I stumbled upon Peyton quizzing Jack on his words so they could get downstairs and play the Wii.  I continued to let her be the facilitator and I've got to say, they did a pretty darn good job!
