Maddie went to run a quick errand with us after the dash. An errand that wouldn't require her to get out of the car, so she hopped in the truck in her slippers and away we went. On our way, we spotted that the fire station in Webster was putting on a little event for fire safety week. It looked fun, so we asked Maddie if she wanted to go (even in her slippers), and she said, sure! ...... a quality of hers I adore!!!.....not really giving a care what others think, golden!
So we parked and went across the street to the event. She never even thought twice about her shoes. She had fun and even scored a hotdog, chip, and soda lunch out of it.
Driving Dad's truck on our way to our house on our road. She loves doing that!!

The St. Peter Dash
This year we took the dogs to the dash too. The kids were super excited about that. Maddie was contemplating running the 5K this year since the rest of us were (and the dogs too), but once we got there she found some friends on the school playground....she thought that seemed a little more fun. She stayed at played at the playground while Mike, Peyton and I ran. Jack stayed home because of his feet.....still dealing with his severs on occasion.
Peyton and her friends beat Mike, the dogs and I. I'm going to blame that on the dogs. We had to stop 6 times for them to POOP!!!......YES, SIX TIMES!! It started to become extremely comical. They didn't even eat breakfast before the race. Imagine how many times we would have had to stop if they had ate!!!!
Once we got back to school, the race starts and ends at school, we found Maddie and she got ready for the kids' fun run. She ran her little race and was happy as a clam. We celebrated with some food and snow cones and then went home and got ready for a day full of soccer games.

Lydia's Birthday Party
These girls were livin' it up at Lydia's birthday party. Sweet and Sassy pulls through with a spa night to help Lydia and company celebrate her 6th birthday. Do you think these girls were enjoying their pampering? When I picked her up, he hair was all done up, complete with glitter on top.
St. Louis Tennis
St. Louis hosted tennis matches with four great (some young, some old :) tennis pros. Jack got to see Roddick, Philippoussis, Courier, and McEnroe. We also got to see Ariel (Jack's tennis coach's daughter) be one of the ball girls.
I think Jack ended up enjoying it more than he thought he would. He didn't really know much about these tennis players, but his eyes were wide open and so were his ears. he learned more about them that night. It was pretty awesome to see this level of play at a close level....impressive!
Jack ate a lot of food too!! HA!!

Indianapolis Soccer Tournament
Peyton and I headed out of town for her soccer tournament. It turned out that it was mostly mom and daughters making this trip. Dads were staying behind to run other kids to other activities. So the Brasser girls road with us up there.
We had fun! The girls played good soccer. Super close and competitive games, but we did not come home with a trophy. The girls spent time running around the hotel, many meals together, shopping at the mall that attached to our hotel (pretty awesome), and swimming.

Could have made money on America's Funniest Videos
The day Mike and Jess decided to move a couch (with recliners in it, so kind of heavy) to the basement.
We bought new couches for the upstairs so we were moving the old couches downstairs. We decided it was going to be easier to go around the outside instead of taking the door off to make the turn into the basement.
We started going down the little hill on the side of the house, the hill that is shaded by the house, so never gets any sun. And during the week that Mike was water the yard everyday because he had just had it seeded. Yep....you know where this is going. As I started telling Mike, "Im slipping......".....it was too late. My feet flew out from under me, I couldn't catch my fall with my hands or I would drop the couch on myself, but in the end.....I dropped the couch on my foot anyway, as I busted by tail on the ground. Quite the day.
I came inside, foot on fire, and started getting myself cleaned up from my muddy mess, as we had to leave in 10 minutes for Jack's volleyball game. So, Mike yells to Peyton, "Get your shoes on, I need you to help me get this couch in the house." Peyton says what shoes should I wear?.....My response, "YOUR SOCCER CLEATS!!!"
The two of them got it in the house.......

Girls night at the ballpark
Mike got a coupe tickets from work, randomly, for the Cards game and it turned out that Peyton didn't have anything that night. Peyton and I quickly got dressed and hit the road. We had fun, but we certainly did not bring home a win. I think the Friedman kids have only witnessed one Cardinal win. They should maybe be banned from the Card's games.
