The girls and I took the dogs to the park and BOY did they come home a MESS!!!
The ran and the played and they especially enjoyed the mud that was left behind from the rain earlier in the day. To add to the mess, Gus took a poop and half of the poop stuck to his long hair, that desperately needs to be cut.
The girls and I used every napkin in Mike's glovebox to try and clean Gus up, but it wasn't even close to being good enough to let him back in the truck. So, Peyton accompanied Gus in the back of Mike's truck on the way home. We have to go on Big Bend for a short bit to get back home, so I told Peyton she'd just have to lay day and hide. But, Gus is such a dummy, that I definitely felt like Peyton needed to be back there with him so he wouldn't think about jumping out.
I called Mike on our way home and told him about the mess we were bringing home. He met us in the driveway and gave Gus a quick haircut around his nasty butt. Then both dogs headed to the bathtub for a good cleaning.
That quick trip to the dog park, turned into a 2 hour commitment.......

Mother's Day
Usually we spend Mother's Day at the ballpark playing baseball.....no such luck this year. Instead we settled for a bike ride on a new trail. Times are just weird right now, but it was still fun!
Maddie made me a cake and worked so hard on it. Later Mike came through and scratched out "Mom" and put "Dad" on the cake, thinking Maddie would find it funny (as she is usually the one with the sense of humor)......however, that PISSED her off and it even caused some tears.......
Grandma Jeanne came over for the first time for cake.
The Dog Park
We found this new little trail down by KAA that the dogs LOVE!!!!! It's like a half mile in and a half mile out and there is never anyone there.....which means we can let the dogs of their leashes and let them run. They've been in HEAVEN!!!! We would go down every night after dinner. The dogs knew where they were going every night and they were always so so excited. When we would turn on Marshal Rd Gus would start squeaking with delight!!! Sometimes the kids walk and sometimes they ride their bikes. When they are on their bikes the dogs LOVE it....cause then they can run even faster!!!
May 7 - School is out for SUMMER!!!!
St. Peter called it quits early. May 7 was the kids' last day. I don't think there was too much learning going on, and a lot of stress in the homes of parents trying to work and school their kids at the same time....so St. Peter said good enough!!!!! Not our normal "last day of school" picture, but here it is!!!!
Peyton's Parking Lot Happy Hour
Peyton had been watching me meet my friends in parking lots to socialize so she had been begging to see one of her friends!!! She and Addison met in the parking lot of Mary Queen, set their chairs 6 feet apart and hung out for a couple hours. Not seeing people is sooooo hard!!!!!
First HOT May day.....
First super hot day, and it pays to know the right people. Pays to know someone that has a heated pool (Taylor, thank you!), and pays to know someone that has a fishing hole (thank you Uncle Gary). The swimming and the fishing were HUGE outings. We got to see and hangout with PEOPLE at a social distance. Good times!!!! Peyton was dressed and ready to go to Taylor's with us and then when she realized EVERYONE was going to be gone, she decided to stay home. She says she hasn't had the house to herself in MONTHS.....which is true!!!! So she enjoyed a little time to herself instead of going swimming with Maddie and I.
