TIRED!!

This picture was taken at 7:35am, in my bed.  We have to leave no later than 7:55 for school.  And if Maddie and I were still in bed, then the big kids were DEFINITELY still in bed!!  Gus is ALWAYS the last one out of bed.....always!!!!  Is anyone surprised???

And just for the record, we DID make it to school on time!!

Peyton Advent Dancing

The 8th graders are always the Advent Dancers for the all school masses during Advent.  Peyton had signed up and tried out and was put on the schedule.  She was not happy with us, as we all about peed our pants when she told us.  None of us could picture Peyton, gently coming down the isle, while performing this soft and gentle dance.  I really was proud of her for getting up and doing something like that in front of a crowd!  She was NOT happy with us when we were laughing.......

She did a great job!!!  They needed a sub a couple weeks later as well, so they asked her to do it again.  Grandma Farm happened to be in town for that one, so she was able to go to mass and spectate as well.

Jack's Poor Future Wife.....

Seriously!!!!  Maddie is ruining Jack's future wife!!!  Maddie is the first one up in the morning and always ready for school first.  Well, Jack is always dead last, every.single.day!!!!!  So Maddie helps him.....this is how:

She lays out his book bag, lunch box, shoes, water bottle, trapper keeper..... and then I'm failing the future wife as well, as I lay out his breakfast and vitamins on the counter........he is just a SLLLLOW mover in the morning!!!

Here's his pile of stuff at the bottom of the steps that Maddie has ready for him.....

Peyton's last gingerbread house???

I snapped a picture of her, I had so sneak it though cause she doesn't let me take pictures of her anymore.....but I thought I better document it, as it might be her last year......next year will tell.....

GUS!!!

Always wants to be RIGHT on top of you.....has the entire couch, but nope, prefers to be touching you!!  Annie is opposite, wants to be in the same room and begs for attention, but stops JUST out of arms reach....annoying!

BRACES OFF for Peyton......Finally!!!

The day she's been waiting for, for oh so long!!!!  She was so excited but so nervous at the same time.  She was nervous they were going to come off and she wasn't going to like her teeth.  But she loved them and is happy as heck now!!!!

Peyton got hers off and Jack got his bottoms on.....he now has a full mouth of braces!

Post Thanksgiving Hike

The Saturday after Thanksgiving the weather was pleasant and we had nothing on the calendar, so we loaded up the car and met the Rineys for a hike.  We tried a new spot, Don Robinson State Park in Cedar Hill.  It was a good hike, the kids had fun and were happy the entire time.  We told the kids towards the end of the 4 mile hike that they had all come A LONG way since our first hike together in Arizona almost five years ago.  They were clearly, much younger, but boy did they complain the ENTIRE time we were hiking.....HA!!!  They've grown up and matured nicely.

After the hike we were searching for a place that had outdoor seating for lunch.  Well, there's not much around Cedar Hill, but we found a biker bar/pub that had a somewhat sketchy outdoor picnic area and went for it!

The food and beer were good as was the company!
