Sunset
We are spoiled by the pretty sunset out our back door, very frequently. I've never really taken a picture of it, but I decided to one night......not a bad view.
The Girls and their Dogs
Maddie was getting ready for her gymnastics pictures, and the dogs happened to hop right up on the couch for a photo opp with the girls.
Stan Musial Awards
We've been going with the Rineys to the Stan Musial Awards for about 5 years. Every year we talk about how awesome they are and how we should consider bringing our kids to it. This year, we did. The big kids loved it, and Maddie.....well she slept through some of it. HA!
After the awards, we went downstairs to the after party. The big recipient this year was Wayne Gretzky, THE GREAT ONE. The kids worked their way through the crowd to grab a picture with him. We didn't stay long at the after party as the crowds were a little too thick for comfort.

Family Pictures
It's been a while since our last round. Once of our least favorite things to do....but we did it, it's done. YAY us!
Peyton Goes to Kirkwood Homecoming
Well.....this was an interesting one. Peyton got asked to Kirkwood's homecoming and said yes. As we were getting closer to the date and as she was learning who they were "going" with, she started getting hesitant about it. I told her she committed to it so she needed to go.
So she went. She wasn't overly excited about it. She texted me a half hour into the dance and wanted me to pick her up. I told her no. I made her stick it out. They then went to one of the other kids in the group's house. She called me again and wanted to be picked up and there were "extra curricular" activities going on in the bathroom.
We were at dinner with Leigh-Anne and Mike and Taylor and Justin. Taylor and Justin had rode with us to dinner so we left and went to pick her up.
She gets in the car and she says, "public school kids are WEIRD!!!! The boys wear skirts and dresses, the dress up as animals on leashes and they hiss and meow." Well, OK then. I'd say it is safe to say, she will think long and hard about how she says "yes" to in the future.
Meet Season!!!
Meet season is upon us.....Maddie's favorite time of the year! They opened meet season with an inner squad meet at her gym. All the little gymnasts were smiling ear to ear and happy to be there!!! She did a great job and seemed to be happy with her performances.
