Rain, Rain, go away........
Starting a couple days before Christmas and not ending until a couple days after Christmas it rained.....and rained......and rained!!! Record setting floods.
I came down the steps one day and this is what I saw. Jack and Maddie just sitting and watching it rain....yet again!!!
Peyton was in a holiday soccer tournament. She happened to have a game, 2 short hours after they started closing major highways down. Her game was literally 5 minutes away from our house and it took us OVER an hour and 20 minutes to get there!! She only got to play 4 minutes of her game by the time we got there. UGH!!! Took us only 8 minutes to get home, the highways weren't effected coming the other way.
The look of this made me want to cry, and we still weren't there yet!!!
When we were at Ruth's for Christmas they were started to just down a lot of the roads. I looked around at one point and this is what everyone was doing. Everyone was on their phones trying to figure out a route to get home since so many of the roads were being shut down. Took us much longer than our usual hour from Warranton.....but we managed.
I thought I had some pictures saved (but I guess not) of soccer park and KAA ballfields. Both of those went under big TIME!! Soccer Park estimated a million dollar loss. Soccer practices will not be starting in February like they had originally planned....they are shooting for March!
