Maddie's 100th Day of SCHOOL!!!!

It's a big celebration in kindergarten when they have reached their hundredth day of school.  The kids were to make a cape to wear to school that day and decorate it with 100 "things"......Maddie chose big sequins.  She lines every single one of them up and hot glued them on, all by herself!!!!  Anyone surprised that Miss Independent did it all alone?!?!  Yeah, me neither.

Catholic Schools Week

A lot of the spirit days this year were kind of lame.....so we didn't take many pictures.  We did get a picture of Maddie and Jack with their "special guests" for lunch.....and well, guess who was "too cool for school" and didn't get a picture with a special guest....PEYTON!!!  Some day she will realize are pretty cool.
And then to finish off the week was blue and white spirit day.....STP!

Maddie has found her passion....

Maddie has found a love, a love for GYMNASTICS!!!  Supposedly, according to her teachers, cause I know nothing about it, she is super talented.  They keep moving her up, up, up.  She spends 6 hours a week at the Gym Center, and LOVES every single hour of it!!  The only thing she DOESN'T like about it is when she has to choose between gymnastics and other fun things.....like soccer or basketball.

Sports Friends are the BEST Friends

Sports friends are simply the best!  You tend to have more in common with them, you don't have to see them day in and day out at school!  Some of my best friends growing up were my sports friends, not necessarily my school friends, and it seems to be true for Peyton too.  She has met some of her very best friends through sports.
Peyton and two of her super silly, super sweet basketball teammates.

Peyton's Half Birthday

Well.....notice, no picture for this one.  WHY?  Well not because I forgot to take a picture, but because there was nothing to take a picture of.  She's of age, where she would prefer me to drop her lunch off at the office and she will swing by and grab it on her way down to lunch.  No need for mom to stay and embarrass her......these years are FUN!!!

Just for the record, she chose Jimmy Johns.

Baby It's COLD Outside!!

Please let us in....we are cold!!!  :)

Maddie's Half Birthday

Maddie celebrated her half birthday at school.  Always a big deal, as they get to pick what they want to be delivered for lunch and get to dress out of uniform.  Maddie chose McDonald's for lunch, and is still at an age where she likes Mom to stay and have lunch with her.  She chose jeans, her cute little boots, a hair bow and LIPSTICK for her dress down day.  The girls still LOVES her lipstick!!

A true snowmaggedon

It snowed and snowed and snowed!!!  All night long!  There really was no reason to even sleep with inside out pajamas, flush ice cubes, sleep with a spoon under the pillow....no need for any of it!!  A snow day was for sure happening!!  The dogs and kids all had a blast!!  The kids helped mike and I shovel several neighbors out, built a few snowmen, and went to the park to sled a little.  Itwas so deep the dogs had a hard time running in it.  But they LOVED IT, and they were a snowy mess!!

The first night, Mike got home late.  So maddie went out to help him shovel, but I think she got distracted and made this cute little snowman instead.

The view we woke up to!!

This kid!!!  PJ pants, a robe, and a shirt over the robe....not a care in the world!

How else would these two choose to warm up....infront of the fire, watching wrestling.

Thawed out and ready for a nap.
