First Vaccination for Maddie

Wooooo WHOOOO!!!!  Getting closer to all being vaccinated.  They finally passed kids 5-12 to be eligible for the vaccine and we were first in line!!  First one down, second one in 2 weeks!!!

Dogs, dogs, dogs....

Gus's favorite spot....in my bed, on MY pillow!  Always!!!  When we go upstairs at night, he follows me up, I go into my bathroom and either take a bath or wash my face and get ready for bed....he is ALWAYS on my pillow when I come out.  And EVERY night I have to tell him to move to the foot of the bed.  He will always oblige, but he still tries every.single.night!

The dogs favorite thing!  Mike lays on the floor and they both come running!!!!

Halloween....

UGH!  The holiday (actually can we even call it a holiday) that I hate the most!  The holiday that all three kids want to be in three different spots and I somehow have to figure out how to make it happen.  Oh and the costumes.....Oh the costumes and all the drama that comes with that!!  UGH, I just hate it all!!!

Peyton went to a friends house and stayed the night, she did not have school the next morning.  The StP kids DID have school the next morning.  Maddie went to Molly's and trick-or-treated with all of her friends.  Jack trick-or-treated with Gabriel and Mike and I hung out there.  All kids were happy, and I'm just happy it's over!

StP Trunk or Treat

We were able to squeeze in a little bit of time at Trunk or Treat.  Maddie had a soccer game first, so we had to hustle over there right after the game.  She was not happy with my suggestion of just going as a "StP soccer player" to save time on the costume change.  But she went ahead and did it anyway since her two friends did also.

Jack and his friends went for a short bit and then settled for walking down to Duffy's for dinner instead.  HA!

The Difference in a Year

Can we just talk about the difference in Jack in ONE year?!?!  I mean.....

Getting Closer.....

She's still got him, but he is slowly closing in on her...,

3rd Grade Volleyball.....

 still going strong......

Maddie consistently gets her five serves over and will always put her body infant of the ball to return serves.  Every once in a while the two teams can get a good rally going, but most of the time, it's a serve and done.  HA!

Another Soccer Game, Another Injury

Seems to be the way things go for Peyton the last couple years.  This time the ortho feels like she dislocated her knee.  So, off to some more PT we go.......no more soccer for her for the fall season.....

This was the last game she played in, the game she got hurt in, shortly after the second half started.

LOVE

The Three Amigos

Claire, Chloe, Peyton....they love each other.  Basketball teammates from little girls and have grown into besties.

FINAL Baseball Tourney of the Year!

And they are done....D.O.N.E, done!  Lots of baseball played this spring, summer, and fall.  Lots of tournament wins this year, but they didn't get to finish with one.  Ended up losing 4-5 in the final to the Gashouse Gang.

I think they boys are ready to start hitting basketball courts, tennis courts, soccer fields......time for a change for a short bit.

CYC Soccer for Maddie

Maddie has had to miss a lot of CYC soccer for gymnastics, but she loves to play when she's available!  They don't really have "positions" yet, but I do think she has scored in every game.

Maddie's New Room

Maddie's been asking to get rid of her loft bed and get a normal bed, and finally the waiting game was over!  Mike had a week off work, so he found some time to do somethings around the house....Maddie's room happened to be one of them.  The loft came out and her new bed came in.  Grandma Jeanne even came over and gave the walls a new color.  Thank God grandma doesn't mind to paint, cause Mike and I hate it!

Here she is, sound to sleep, her first night in her new bed.

Fondue Anyone??

Lots of kids around one pot.  But I think they were all happy and full by the end of it.  Maybe not super COVID friendly......???

A Thursday and Friday Off in Late September

The StP kids had off Thursday and Friday, so we made the best of it.  Some friends had some Cardinals tickets that they could no longer use for a day game that Thursday.  I loaded up a bunch of kids and we headed to the ballpark.  It was a great game for them to see.  Great seats, a few homers, and a W.  Perfect!

The following day I took Maddie and Molly to the zoo for the day.  The weather was great, the animals weren't super active, but we had fun anyway.  Of course the stingrays were the biggest hit of the day!

Jack's First (and only) High School Shadow Day

Jack went to shadow SLUH.  He got there at 8:00 and stayed until a little after 1:00.  Jack's shadow student was a freshman and a St. Peter alum, he was in Peyton's class.  Jack sat in on a few classes with him and then had lunch and came home.  He thoroughly enjoyed his day there, and says this is the place he wants to go.  He told us he didn't need to shadow anywhere else.  At first, I told him he needed to go somewhere else just to be able to compare and make sure he knew, but then I was like, "WHY?"  Why make it any harder than it needs to be.  So SLUH it is......as long as they take him.

Gross Feet

Jack and I seem to have some gross feet at this time.  Back during the parent/child tennis tournament, I think my second toe rubbed too much in my shoes.  It was sore and red and eventually it turned purple......and then, it finally came off during a tennis match.....GROSS!!!!

Jack randomly had this bruise show up on his heel.  He has no idea when it got there or why it got there???  But a few days later it was gone.....????

Who knows.....

Tennis Season in the Books

Tennis season is fast, furious, and over!!!  About 3 matches a week for a month and then it's over.  Peyton ended up getting to play a few varsity matches when a girl had to be absent for some reason.  She won all of her matches (including varsity).  She had fun, made new friends, learned a lot, got better, and learned to love tennis.  These pictures were from one of her last matches.

The JV team does not do any kind of playoffs, the varsity team did go on to win state.

SJA Mom/Daughter Brunch and Mass

Peyton and I spent the morning with the SJA community.  It was a morning for moms and daughters.  Brunch and Mass, was a great morning with new friends and teammates.  Peyton is enjoying everything about high school....tennis, new friends, school, all the things!!!  Great start to the school year, full of new beginnings!!
