Eyebrow Threading.....Pain

Peyton has been wanting to get her eyebrows shaped.  So she was debating between threading and waxing.  I told her I like threading better.  I think the pain is about the same for both, but threading doesn't leave you red for hours.

She went, and she DISAGREES!!  She said it was SOOO painful, and she wants to try waxing next time.  HA!!!  Staying put together is sometimes painful.....HA!!

Local Gym Meet

Maddie finally had a local meet, in St. Charles.  This would probably be Mike's only opportunity to see her this season.....as we can't both go out of town every weekend for the other meets, someone has to stay home and run the other kids around.

Well, it definitely wasn't Maddie's best meet by any means.  I think we will ban him from coming.....ha!  We also blamed it on her water bottle.  She forgot her lucky water bottle at school, so she had to take a different one.  Think we are superstitious at all in our house?!?!

She did still medal in a couple things, but they weren't high medals and definitely not her best performances.  But, right after the meet she went with Vera to the movies to finish celebrating her birthday......so all was OK in the world!!!

Gym Friends

Maddie loves her gym friends!!!  They practice 16 hours a week together, travel together on the weekends.....and STILL want to have playdates in the middle!!!!

Here they are for Vera's birthday!!!

Vaccination Time!

I've waited 5 years to find some sort of silver lining to my RA diagnosis.....I guess this was a little positive.  Leigh-Anne and I scored us some vaccines due to our arthritis.

I was so nervous about getting the vaccine, but knew I needed to do it.  We did it!  I did feel sick the second day.....body aches, fever, and just feeling yucky.  By the third day, I was good to go!!!

High School Letter Day!!!

How????  How in the world is this time here.  This day was a little more emotional for me than I would have ever imagined.

Peyton had a hard time choosing between St. Joe and Cor Jesu.....but she chose St. Joe (and got in).....and she is oh so excited!!!  She would start tomorrow!!

They had a half day of school on the Friday.  All the kids wanted to race home to see their "signs," and get their new swag.  That night she went to the Riggs' house to celebrate with other St. Peter classmates that had been accepted to St. Joe as well.  There are quite a few from her current class that are going to SJA as well.  Peyton also has a lot of friends from soccer and other schools that will be joining her in the fall too!

The next morning, SJA had a drive through parade for all the incoming freshman.  Talk about energy!!!!......those upper classmen brought it!!!  It was darling!  At the end of the parade, they gave each girl a box that had even more SJA swag.  She should be all decked out now!

The night after letter day, we joined some moms for dinner.  This was put on by a basketball friends' mom.   She wanted her daughter to meet a few girls going to St Joe, as she does not have many from her current school going.  We had a fun night.  Whew!!!!  What a weekend!!!

9 short years at St. Peter FLEW!!!!

A lot of our neighbors were so excited when they saw Peyton's sign in the yard.  Most of our neighbors all have adult children now.....but turns out A LOT of them went to St. Joe, so they all stopped and congratulated and were very excited.  One of the even dropped off the sweetest note, with some of their old apparel.

Knights

Peyton's last picture she took with her team before she had to be shut down again for her back.  Her back stuff came back, so she had to take a month off and rehab her back again.  Hopefully she realizes how important it is to keep up with her PT, ALL the time, not just when she's injured.  UGH!!!

Peyton LOVES her Knights girls and coach!  The core of this team (5 of them), have been together since 4th grade I believe!

Peloton Time!!!

Our Peloton finally arrived!!!  Hip hip hooray!!!  We ordered it before Christmas, and have bee waiting patiently.

I've got my first few rides under my belt, and Peyton has her first one under her belt.  Mike.....well he has been super indecisive about his shoes, so he hasn't gotten on yet.

Molly and Maddie

These girls, still besties, and still funny!!!  There wasn't much snow left by their Friday playdate, but they were determined to still get out there and play.  The clothing situations was a struggle tho.  The dug and dug and this is what they came up with.  Molly got the short end of the stick, she had to wear some high waters......clearly, they didn't seem to mind!!!  And off they went and fun was had!!!

A Little Taste of Snow!

We got just a little small amount of snow, but Maddie was so excited to play in it.  She played in the yard for a bit and then I told her I'd run her to Kirkwood Park quick before it got dark.  The kids that had beat us there, almost had all the snow melted and patted down into mud....but we made due and had a great time!
