Naturals go to Lenz

The Nats headed out of town for a weekend at Lenz field.  I was very much against it, I did not want to be traveling and having to eat in restaurants for a weekend, because we had vacation scheduled two weeks away with two other families.  I did NOT want us to get COVID and not be able to take our family vacation.  I lost the battle and the Nats went out of town.  Mike and Jack headed up without the girls and I.  The other younger siblings that Maddie likes to hang with were not going and it was Peyton's birthday....so we all opted to stay home and sent the boys.  I also sent Mike with a  can of Lysol, wipes, and hand sanitizer, and crossed my fingers they came home COVID free.

It all worked out just fine.  They all came home COVID free and they had a great weekend of baseball.  They lost in the semis, but played good ball all weekend.  As for Jack, he had a great weekend at the plate....14-16 to be exact.

I spent lots of hours that weekend listening to game changer.  It's definitely not as fun as being there, but it helps a lot!!

Eight is GREAT!!!

Eight!!!! The baby is eight and I cannot even believe it!! This girl is wise beyond her years, acts way older than she is (thanks, big sis!!), has a heart the size of Texas, nurturing comes natural (future teacher and mom), loves her friends dearly, loves gymnastics and sports, spends way too much time on YouTube and roblox, and asks for a tiktok account DAILY!!! She got to spend her day with her best girls, eating all the good stuff, playing tennis, gymnastics, and presents.....happy birthday, moose!!

Back to the Memes

As always, so many good ones out there!!!

Well Visits 2020

The kids' well visits look a tad different this year......everyone needs to hunker down and just get happy with the mask!

Perfectionist.....Jack?

I just love watching this boy play baseball, actually I love to watch him play everything.  He is a hard worker and super passionate about everything he plays and does!!  Not a complainer, just gets out there puts in the time and work.....school, sports, it doesn't matter.  He gives his 100%! He catches almost every inning of every baseball game.  He's HOT, tired, hungry (because his Dad won't let him eat between games....but sometimes Mom sneaks him some food).  He might be a slight perfectionist too, which will also come with it's own set of challenges.....he might inherit some of these things from his Dad....HA!

Social Distancing

Our baseball team has not exactly been following the social distancing guidelines.  Mike and I have been pretty careful and pretty good about all the rules, except with our baseball family.  I don't know, we just kind of committed to them and took our chances.

But this picture did make me laugh.  We were in-between games at a tournament and I looked up on the hillside and this is how I found all the dads.  It did indeed look like we were following ALL the COVID guidelines!!

Social distancing at it's best!

I honestly think we had just came off of a rough game, and everyone was frustrated and gathering their thoughts.....ha!

Maddie and Her BFF's

Maddie loves hard and is super loyal.  She went to EARLY preschool with Molly and Luca, they were all in the same two-year-old room all the way to now.  Lydia joined the posse once they all started preschool at St. Peter, which was when they were four.  They are all still the best of friends and I just love their little friendship!

This picture was sent to me from Molly's 8th birthday party....I wish Molly were in it tho!!!  :)

A HARD Goodbye

Maddie has the most tender heart.....and goodbyes are not good for the tender hearted.  She always had a hard time with good-byes.....whether it be saying goodbye to friends after a good vacation and everyone departing, saying farewell to a teacher after a great year, saying farewell to a coach when it's time to move up, etc.....all goodbyes are HARD for Maddie!!!  She tries to hide the emotions, but then they come barreling out!!

Her favorite tennis pro, Layton, left half way through the summer for basic training, he is headed to the Army.  This was so so hard on Maddie.  Lots of tears.....she loved her Layton!  His last day at WCC, he came up to chat and hangout with Maddie and I while the big kids had tennis, and then they said their last goodbye.....poor girl!!!

And just for the record, Layton was actually a Friedman family favorite.  I loved playing with him on the court, the big kids loved his silliness he brought to their clinics!  Layton will be missed!!
