An exciting/devastating end to the CYC season

St. Peter and Holy Redeemer left to battle it out for the district final game.  St. Peter definitely the underdog, was leading the entire game until the last couple minutes.  Redeemer tied it up.  St. Peter pressed and caused them to turn the ball over and as we were taking a shot under the basket, the ref blew the whistle.  Turns out she accidentally blew it and had no call to make.  So instead of just giving us the ball back, they gave it back to Redeemer.  Redeemer beat us by 2....what a heart breaker.  But the girls had a GREAT CYC season and I think they had fun at the same time.  Peyton happens to be good friends with two of the girls she played against.  Addison plays Knights with her and Maddie is a great friend of hers from Westborough.

Mission Carnival

Jack and Parker are Maddie's 4th grade partners.  The PreK's partners helped them around at Mission Carnival.  A mom that was volunteering sent me this cute picture of the three of them.

Left high and dry....

The ole minivan left me stranded.  I had a little bit of warning, as the battery light had flashed on the dash.  So I decide to run to AutoZone and let them change my battery for me.  Turns out, that as I'm turning into AutoZone, by entire car shuts down and NOTHING works.  It ended up being the alternator.  I had to call the tow truck to tow it to the dealership to be fixed.  Leigh-Anne to the rescue!!!  She came and got me, with a tea in hand.  I even made her swing me by one errand quick.  She was a good sport!!  :)  She then dropped me off to Maddie and friends at lunch in Kirkwood.  Angie then drove Maddie and I to skating lessons and then dropped us off at home.  Good thing we have a good group of people we can rely on.  The van was fixed by that afternoon and we were back in business.

A Tournament Victory

It wasn't an easy win, in fact it took an OT to finally seal the deal.  The girls had a good time and celebrated with ice-cream after the game!

I think I was laughing too hard at Renee taking the paparazzi's picture, that I forgot to snap the team pic.....Good Lord!

No Pinterest Mom lives here......

Incase there was ever any doubt....I am indeed, NOT much of a Pinterest Mom.  I did see some quite elaborate boxes that people made for their kids.  Not, us....we don't have much time for that.  This is what Maddie got, and she thought it was just fine!!!!

Come on down.......!!!!!

We were hoping to hear those words attached to one of our names, but no such luck.  I did end up knowing two of the contestants, which was kind of fun.  Off to the Fox we went to try and get on stage....nonetheless, we had us a good time!!

Maddie KJBL

Maddie played on a KJBL team with some of the kindergartners from St. Peter.  It was super nice of them to ask her...with her being the little pre-schooler.....but she LOVES playing with them.  They almost had an undefeated season, losing their last game.  They were so close!!!!  :)  And if you think 5 and 6 year olds don't know that.....THEY DO!!!

Jack CYC basketball

Jack ended his CYC season, with one final victory.  I think they only lost one game this season.  Jack had fun playing with his school friends!!
