One of Jack's new favorite things....

TOP GOLF!!!  Jack loves it, and he usually blows us all out of the water!!!

His celebratory jig.....we saw it a lot this night!!!

Volleyball comes to an end....

Jack absolutely loved playing volleyball this year.  He was quite the little server.  They made it to the playoffs, where they lost a nail biter to end the season.  The boys were sad, but they had a great season for half of the team to be brand new this year.  He's definitely looking forward to next year!

Two sweet boys!!!!.....

and tired too......

5th Grade All Saints Mass

Always one of my favorite masses.  The 5th graders pick a Saint to research, they write a paper about the Saint, and then they dress up as the Saint for All Saints Mass.  St. Peter does it big for this one.  Jack was St. Juan Diego.  He has a really cool story, I enjoyed learning it along side of Jack.

A Week of Halloween Celebrations

When did Halloween turn into a holiday that we now celebrate for a week!  UGH!!!  Trunk or Treat, Halloween Walk, Trick or Treating with friends.....blah blah blah......I guess we get our money's worth out of the costumes.....

First up.....Trunk or Treat at St. Peter.

And now, onto the parade at school......(the other kids have outgrown this, starting in 5th grade, the kids watch instead of participate).

And then finally, trick or treating at home with the Riggios.  I don't have a picture of Peyton, cause she no longer trick or treats with us, she's off with her friends......

Off to New Orleans

Mike had a conference in New Orleans and wanted me to tag along with him.  I wasn't overly thrilled about New Orleans, I didn't really think that city had much to offer to me.  Later, he told me Alison and Travis were going to go too, then it sounded a little better, I could at least hang out with Alison during the day while Mike was at meetings.
It was a quick, but good trip.  We got there late on the first night.  Alison and Travis headed to bed, Mike and I headed to a dive bar for food and a drink.  We were hungry!
The next day the guys left in the morning for their meetings and then called us later in the morning and said they booked us a spa day.  It was lovely.  Alison and I got up quick, hit the hotel breakfast and walked to the spa.
When we were finished with the spa the guys ended up being in the waiting room waiting for us.  We all walked to lunch and had lunch together.  The guys then headed back to meetings and Alison and I walked to a mall.  The only thing we found that we needed to buy was a bottle of wine.  HA!  Actually, I take that back.  I ended up finding the kids some clothes at GAP.
We then headed back to our rooms to get ready.  The Hillen's have friends that live there and they were going to show us the city the night.  We met and went to dinner and then headed to Bourbon Street.  WOW!!!  I would NEVER need to see that during a "busy" night.  It was crazy and gross enough, on a random, weeknight in October.  They did take us to a really cook dueling piano bar and that was super fun.  We finished the night eating beignets at the famous Cafe Du Monde.
The next morning we woke up took our time and was ready to hit the airport at 11:00.
This is where the true adventure began.......
We got through security, got to our gate, boarded the plane, and was ready to take off.  Then they came on and said we had to de-board the plane that there was a problem.  We ended up having an eight hour time delay.  Thank GOD THE KIDS WERE NOT WITH US.  We had a deck of cards in our back.  We busted those out, found a restaurant that served wine and we were set.  And Southwest gave us free vouchers for future flight and free in-flight drinks....sounds good to me!

This is what an eight hour delay looks like......

Day off School = Day at Pumpkin Farm

The kids had off school the last Monday in October so off to the pumpkin farm with the Dickinsons we went.  The kids had fun, even the big kids......

Sccoby Doo Doo, Where are YOU??

The Rineys invited a few STP families to a trivia night for a charity for a school that Jason sits on the board for.  The theme of our table.....well, I'll let you figure it out.  We didn't win the costume contest, but we are pretty sure we got hosed!

The next morning, we were up at the CRACK of dawn for Peyotn's soccer game.  Peyton and I were paying the price for the sliders Mike enjoyed at the trivia night......

St. Peter Golf Tournament Day

Time to jump back on that beer cart.....we always have a ton of fun, and there were no damages, so all was good!!!  A bit on the cold and rainy side, but everyone survived.

Maddie joins Daisies

Most of Maddie's little friends decided to join Daisies this year, so....naturally, Maddie was in too!  She doesn't miss a social event!!  There will be cookie selling going on in January I guess.....

Here she is at her first meeting with all of her sweet, (some old, some new), kindergarten friends!

Hard to see, but she is back row, third from the right.

The girls get their ears pierced

Peyton has been begging for a LONG time to get her ears pierced.  We totally should have done it when she was younger, cause now there is no "good" time to do it with sports.  There's always something "in season" so there is never a good time to do it where they can just be left alone and not have to be taken out.  So I told her that she could do it, but she was going to have to take then out only a week after she got the pierced for her basketball and soccer games.  She said it was worth a try and she was willing to take the risk.

Now, in the back of my mind, I'm thinking, 'gosh, we should get Maddie's done at the same time, so that we don't have to fight the sport thing with her when she gets older.....right now she's young enough that they don't make then take then out to play......but I KNEW Peyton would through a FIT if Maddie got to get them when she was young.

Soooo......Peyton is a HUGE baby when it comes to shots or anything like that, and, well, Maddie is not.  Peyton knows this.  So she says, maybe Maddie could get them the same day, if she GOES FIRST!!!  No problem Maddie says.  We all lucked out!!!  Peyton got to see Maddie do it first, Maddie was thrilled that she got her ears pierced, and I was thrilled to just have them both done.  Win, win, win!!!

They were so happy!!!
