Down on the farm

The kids and I took our first trip to Purina Farms.  We met Uncle Aunt Chris and Aaron there.  I don't know why but my kids call Chris, Uncle Chris.....it's hilarious!  It was our first time going, and I think it's safe to say we will be going back.  We were there from 9:30-2:00, and the kids could have stayed longer. They got to pet farm animals, play in the hay loft, take a wagon ride, watch the cool dog show, milk a cow......it was a good day.

I told Jack he would have been an embarrassment to his dad, as he walked around the stinky barn like this:

He thought the barn was quite stinky.....it was pretty funny!

Here are some more photos of the farming good time we had......

We have a prayer leader....

Well, Jack is officially moved in with Peyton.  His other bed is down and the baby bed is up.....productive weekend, if I do say so myself.  That being said, the last two nights after I have put the kids to bed I've listened to them on the monitor.  Peyton leads prayer and Jack echoes.  It's actually really cute and makes my heart happy!

Easter 2012

Easter was busy and fun, as always.  The festivities started Friday night with coloring eggs and continued at Grandpa Friedman's on Saturday night.  We had a nice barbecue dinner and visit there and then headed out to the farm.  We stayed the night at Grandma and Grandpa Wondel's house and got up early for a brunch with all the boys.  After we ate the Easter Bunny had came and dropped LOTS of eggs.  So the kids went out and found them all.  Our last stop was Grandma Jeanne's for lunch.  Again, we ate, and while we were eating, that silly bunny came and dropped off more eggs!  This weeks weigh in at the doctor is not gonna be pretty for the pregnant lady with LOTS of candy in her house.
Sorry for the massive amount of pictures on this post.

Does Jack not look like his Daddy here?!?!  WOW!

Only Grandmas Babysit

The other night I went over to a friends house to watch her kids while her and her husband went out to dinner.  I left our house around 7:30 when Mike got home from work.  Peyton asked where I was going and I told her I was going to Shira's house to babysit.
After I left Peyton asked Mike if I was a Grandma.  Mike told her that I was not a Grandma.  Her response........."then why is she babysitting?!?!"  HAHA!!  In her mind and in her life, only Grandmas babysit.

Peyton and Mommy riding in style......

Peyton is learning to ride her bike with no training wheels and Mommy is learning to drive without fear of breaking down.....life is good!

Peyton is very cautious about falling on her bike.  Mike finally took her off the sidewalk and to the back yard and she seems to be doing WAY better, knowing, the grass isn't going to hurt her as badly as the hard sidewalk.  Hopefully she will have this mastered soon!

Last week the air conditioner in my car quit working.  When it went to the dealership to be looked at it had a few other things wrong with it as well (those of you that knew that damn car.....i know, you aren't surprised!).  So Momma got a new car!  With lots of "friendly conversation" between Mike and I we bought a Honda Odyssey on Friday night.  Buying a car is stressful and sucks, glad it's over, but love my new MINI VAN.  Yep, I said it.....I love my NEW MINI VAN.  I'm not a 30 year old that's too proud to say I not only drive a mini van, but I truly love driving a mini van (when my kids are with me).  I do kinda feel funny driving it if there are no kids in tow.

Spring flowers!!

I know, I know, it's supposedly too early to plant flowers, but we didn't listen to that silly rule!!  The weather is too perfect not to.....so we did!
Peyton was very excited this year to help pick out flowers (infact her opinion I wish hadn't been so strong about which ones she wanted).  Mike had to keep putting some back that she had put in the cart (secretively, of course!).  She needed her own shovel and gloves as well......and not to disappoint, they were princess!  She also got a little pissy when I would try to help her place them in the ground or help her with the potting soil.....she wanted to do it ALL. BY. HERSELF!

It's tough bending over with a 6 month preggo belly!

finding a worm was JUST as exciting as planting!

Big Ole Belly......on display!
