CYC soccer came to an end as well. Jack played goalie most of the year....the position none of the other kids wanted to play, but Jack actually doesn't mind it. He actually does a pretty darn good job in there, for not having any true coaching or training. He has some pretty incredible saves throughout the season. And all his teammate and coaches were grateful he agreed to go in net each game.
Of course the district championship went into overtime and then PK's......we ended with a loss after 3 rounds of PK's. Jack wasn't upset in the loss as much as he was PISSED about the HUGE turf burn he has on his knee. They do not usually play on turf, just for the finals......he should've wore pants. Rookie mistake.
The got to go to the city-county playoffs anyway, as our district had the wildcard. We had to pay the first place seed and the team that ended up smoking everyone along the way to finally becoming city-county champs. We lost in the first round to that team, to officially end the season.
