Play ball! It's that time of year! Peyton had her first game of the year. Same team as last year (well same name and same coaches....only about 3 of the same players). There is definite improvement from last year. Most of the girls are able to hit it and they are actually fielding the ball and throwing it to first base. All the girls seem to be a little more into it this year as well....not so bored. The kids get 5 pitches from the coach and if they don't hit it, then they get the tee. It think the tee only had to be brought out 3 times....not bad for 5 year olds. Peyton batted twice and hit the ball great both times....and of coarse turned to look at her cheering crowd to make sure we saw it. THe cheering crowd for the first game consisted of Mommy, Daddy, Jack, Grandma Jeanne, and GG (great grandma Ruth).
After the game the girls take turns bringing snacks and drinks. Our turn was the first game so we brought the snacks. I think this might be just as exciting as playing ball to these girls :)
