Fourth of July at the Lake

We headed to the lake to celebrate the 4th.  The 4th this year was in the middle of the week, so we went the weekend before.  Peyton took Claire and Chloe with us, and they had a blast.  They all tried everything, we couldn't get them up on anything except the tube, but they LOVED the tube.  ALL the kids LOVE the tube.  And I HATE IT!  The tube makes me so nervous!!!  Always afraid someone is gonna get hurt, but the faster and crazier, the better for the kids.  They are all smiles back there!!

Grandma talked us into a little pickle ball with her friends one morning.  We had to cut it short at an hour as Jack started to not feel well.  I think the drive over on the curvy roads from Theodosia to Gainesville did him in.

Jack, Mike, and Grandma went fishing one morning and caught enough for a fish fry (Jack's favorite).  We took the dogs down to the dock while the guys were cleaning the fish.  Annie and Gus were in hog heaven down there!!  They thought the dock was great fun.  Gus wanted to hop on all the boats and check them out, so we had to keep a close eye on him.

We found every rain pocket on the lake that weekend!!  We got caught in 3 rain storms....was getting quite obnoxious.  Renee came down and got Chloe a day early, as she had to get back for softball.  We went out in the boat the day Renee came down, and got caught in a storm AGAIN!

The last day we found some time to fit in some good old family golf!  Fun times!!

Oh and the AIR CHAIR!!!  How could I forget?!?!?  Mom and Dad got a new toy, but nobody knows how to use it.  Mike gave it a whirl and holy smokes!  I don't think he'll ever do that again.  He came home with a sore neck, back, and probably some cracked ribs....literally!  I've never seen any wipeouts quite like it.  The videos give it much more justice than the pictures.
