Maddie received the Holy Sacrament of Baptism last Sunday. She had lots of fans there to witness her big event. She is a lucky girl to have Mike and Leigh-Anne as her Godparents.....and we are lucky too to have such amazing friends!
The morning was LOOOONG!!! Mass was an hour and fifteen minutes, followed by 15 minutes of a women's retreat taking pictures in the sanctuary, which postponed the baptism by 15 minutes. THEN to top it off, we had the LONGEST baptism I have ever seen. I think the Deacon said EVERY SINGLE prayer.....
We were in the church for two and a half hours. And all the kids did amazingly well. Even Maddie. She was a good girl. She was awake for the entire baptism, I guess she didn't want to miss a thing.
She was baptized with the Holy Water, we snapped a couple pictures and then headed to the house for a QUICK lunch and celebratory cake. We then had to head off to Peyton's first soccer game (post to come).
Thank you to all our friends and family that came to support Miss Maddie on her special day!!!

Jack had to move on to the phone after 2 hours of church, I can't say that I blame him. Everyone thought it was pretty funny. |
