Birthday #2....Peyton turns DOUBLE DIGITS!!!

Nothing says old like having a child now in double digits.  Peyton made us parents 10 years ago....absolutely unbelievable....but true!!
For her birthday she wanted her friends to sleep over.  We started the afternoon/evening swimming at the pool.  This didn't go as smoothly as I thought, as not all 10 year olds are on the same swimming level.  Some couldn't keep up with others, some would do the high dive, some wouldn't.......and it just wasn't quite as long of an activity as I thought it would be.  They had fun, but it was short lived....maybe like an hour and a half.  We then headed home and had pizza and cake.  They played, opened presents, and watched a movie.  There were lots of giggles and no tears.....success for a bunch of ten-year-old pre-hormonal girls.
Peyton, ten years later, seems to be the same girl she entered the world as.  Big, strong, strong willed, social, easily frustrated, competitor.....but turning into a teenager all at the same time.  We hope these "assets" lead her to a strong, confident young lady in the years to come!

Happy 10th birthday, PEYTON!
